Dumbi M. AMAESHIKE

Managing Director

Michael serves as the Managing Director of West African Ventures Limited (WAV), being one of its pioneer employees at its inception in 1995. He has over twenty (20) years of oil and gas experience, having started his career with Sea Trucks Nigeria Limited an affiliate of WAV. He briefly worked in the United Kingdom, where he gained further proficiency in Business Systems and IT Infrastructure. Following his return to WAV, he oversaw WAV’s inshore operations at Warri as well as its Project Yard at Onne, before his elevation to Deputy Managing Director and subsequently Managing Director in 2017. He is a consummate oil and gas professional with a depth of expertise in project delivery and provision of marine services to the oil and gas industry.


Ramaprasad DAS

Chief Financial Officer

RamaPrasad joined West African Ventures Limited (WAV) in 2016, as Deputy Chief Financial Officer, and was elevated to the Chief Financial Officer in 2017. He is a first class graduate and a Chartered Accountant & Cost Accountant. He has worked in various industries in both his native India and in Nigeria and has over twenty (20) years broad knowledge and experience in accounting and financial management, out of which fifteen (15) years has been in Nigeria. He brings to bear a hands on management style in developing and implementing strategic plans for WAV’s corporate growth.


Stanley ONUOSA

Company Secretary / General Counsel

Stanley joined West African Ventures Limited (WAV) in 2014, and serves as the Company Secretary and General Counsel, as is also responsible for overseeing Nigerian Content Development matters. He has over twenty (20) years of corporate legal experience in the oil and gas sector, including several years in the senior management of a multinational oil and gas company. He is called to the Nigerian Bar and admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales and holds a Master’s Degree, with Distinction in Energy Resources Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy and Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom.


Bengt BENGTSSON

Director (Projects) / General Manager (Projects)

Bengt joined West African Ventures Limited (WAV) in 2012 and serves as the General Manager (Projects) / Director (Projects). He has over 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, with specialization in managing large offshore projects including heavy lift installation, pipe-lay, subsea structures, transportation, procurement, fabrication, engineering, sub-contracted services and disposal projects. He has worked extensively in total project management and operations co-ordination in offshore projects for major oil companies world-wide. He is a qualified mechanical engineer and holds several international certifications.


Anthony UKAIRO

General Manager (Operations)

Anthony serves as the General Manager in charge of Operations and joined West African Ventures Limited (WAV) in 2006. He has over twenty-five (25) years’ experience in the provision of marine services and commanded several sophisticated vessels as Captain prior to coming to WAV. He has worked extensively in both the public and private sector and has overseen several complex marine operations. He is well respected in the marine segment of the oil and gas industry. He was the best graduating cadet in his set and holds several local and international certification.


Edmund Ejiogu

General Manager (Corporate Affairs)

Edmund joined West African Ventures Limited (WAV) in 2010 as Manager, Business Development; and is currently the General Manager in charge of Corporate Affairs. Prior to joining WAV, he had spent 20 years in the Nigerian Financial sector where he worked in senior management positions of five (5) different banks. He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (with special reference in Banking), from the University of Lagos, and a master’s Degree in Project Management from the Federal University of Science & Technology, Owerri. Mr. Ejiogu has attended several local and international courses, workshops and exhibitions. He loves football, and music.
